Certification with the International Society of Arboriculture will be an asset.  Arborists are required to supply their own climbing equipment including saddle, rope(s), hardhat, chainsaw pants and safety boots.  We supply chainsaws, handsaws, rigging equipment and all other equipment and tools required to complete the assigned work.

Forestry Technicians: Duties will include assisting arborists on urban work sites, performing forest inventories, diagnosing common tree pests and diseases, operating brush chippers, stump grinders and other related forestry equipment. Preference will be given to graduates or students of college programs emphasizing tree and forest inventory techniques, tree identification, pests, diseases and tree biology are generally sought.

Previous field experience in urban forestry and/or forest management is preferred but not necessary.  Training will be provided for mature, conscientious and hard working individuals who lack the aforementioned experience. Technicians are required to supply their own safety equipment including hardhat, chainsaw pants and safety boots.

Ground Support: Duties will include assisting arborists in the maintenance and removal of trees.  Experience working with trees in both urban and forest settings is preferred as is previous experience using chainsaws and brush chippers.  A strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions is critical.  Also desirable is a true interest in learning about and developing an appreciation for trees and forests.

Groundpersons are required to supply their own safety equipment including hardhat, chainsaw pants and safety boots.  Commonly these positions are suited to forestry, arboriculture or horticulture students seeking summer employment.
